  Every decision Kate makes is tied to her belief that she is going to marry PW IMO.

She isn't going anywhere that keeps her from William. No way. She can't afford to relax her vigilince.

can't even try to pursue a real career because it would take her away from being constantly available, imo.

She's made her own choices, but if she were to take active control then she wouldn't be able to delude herself that she isn't responsible for her own life. Listen to her whining about how Charles/HM/Courtiers are telling her to not have a life. If she were to take charge and live her own life, it would be different in the sense that she woud likely have to face the life she's already led which would traumatize her.

I also believe that Kate and the Middletons think that any ill will they have suffered during Kate's very public courtship over 7 or 8 years (even Uncle G), no holiday invites from the Queen, no public support from PW, will be erased once she is officially royal...

It would magnify everything and I wrote once that William marrying her would be the worst thing to happen to her.
