Kuei Fei,
This shows us that Kate has a stubborn streak, she will not let go. She obviously feels she has a stake in something that may pan out for her. Whitaker said that (see video posted by Lieblich in Randomly Waity) that PW trusts Kate - there is no question that there are few people PW can trust - but PW is not in love with Kate.  Kate is placing all she has on the trusting relationship with PW and clearly believes - that is why she stays and stays and stays IMO - that this will pay off for her in a HUGE way (lifelong VIP treatment, riches greater than most ever know). Otherwise, why would she stay?

Which is why, surely, that attempts to make William 'normal' have been an utter disaster. The royals fail to realize that their lifestyle, however much they understand the responsibilities that balance the privilege, that perception isn't the same to other people. The Palace keeps denying her a possible place as a member of the family, but they don't see how Kate views the lifestyle they lead. They can't keep being this nice to her. Any other family would have called the cops some time ago and had a restraining order.

William has trusted a lot of wrong people, much like his mother. He's trusting people based on their NOT being the courtiers, despite the fact that the courtiers work like fiends to save the royals from themselves and the only thing they get in return is largely ingratitude and demonized. I rather appreciate the courtiers and pity them since the RF can't seem to make the right decisions on who to trust and socialize with. Look at this situation, William diddles and dates Kate and the Palace has to be the one to point out that there are no marriage intentions and look like the bad guys. Now HM is dragged into this and the Palace again looks like meanies by disowning Kate publicly.

I read before (during their 2007 breakup) that Kate was described by friends as someone with strong inner strength & that nothing ever phased her.  Which means that since she wants to be a princess that she's not going to let anyone stand in her way (IMO).

I'm afraid we have another "Rottweiler" here...  Whipped

I'm wondering too... In North Africa, there's an expression to describe a woman's power over a man : she's said to have put him under her feet. Maybe William is trapped under Waity's boots...  angeldevil

Kate's view of the lifestyle of the BRF is directly related to her ability and patience in waiting for PW to being her into his life. She waits because she knows that there is NOTHING else in the entire world that would substitute for being married to a future King - NOTHING! She has already experienced the sparkle and glitter of the palaces, the thrill of Hello! covers, and she will not be able to settle into anything else, anything less thrilling than all this...so she waits, and waits, and waits.

Kate waits because she clearly believes she has a good chance of marrying PW. Her hope for a future with PW is fueled by PW himself, as long as he calls her and invites her out on dates she waits and hopes.

I also believe that Kate and the Middletons think that any ill will they have suffered during Kate's very public courtship over 7 or 8 years (even Uncle G), no holiday invites from the Queen, no public support from PW, will be erased once she is officially royal...

Excuse me, shouldn't she be in New York now? What happened to those plans?
Even PW was reported to wave her good-bye and back her plans to set foot in real life?
Is she afraid of leaving Britain?
She seems to be a real bird-of-prey hovering above her victim....

That is one of the reasons I never cared for her, she seems way too insecure (imo) She can't even try to pursue a real career because it would take her away from being constantly available, imo.
The whole family seems to be hovering, the Duchy rental was more hovering, imo.
