Kate and her circle might be intentionally spreading these rumors hoping to convince people that she is seriously working for her parents from 9 to 5. This strategy may not work now but It might be useful in the long term. It is also good PR for their company.

Welcome loola! friends I totally agree with you! I have felt this for a LONG time about the Middletons. These rumors are smoke and mirrors to make Kate look like she's doing more than sitting on her bum waiting for a proposal, and yes - great PR for PP! Fortunately the public is buying the front less and less.

The problem with their PR efforts is that it always feels very amateurish. They might manipulate the public but It won't work with the press.
