Princess Anne is welcomed to the Shepperton Studios in Middlesex. The studios are set in the grounds of Littleton Park Manor, a 17th century manor house. During the visit she was shown drawings for director Ridley Scott’s as yet untitled Robin Hood adventure film - May 20, 2009

She was also given an opportunity to be briefed on a small selection of equipment, demonstrated by the soldiers who will be using it in Afghanistan. The Princess Royal is Colonel of The Royal Horse Guards and 1st Dragoons (The Blues and Royals), one of the regiments that make up The Household Cavalry Regiment.

Countess Sophie was in Bedfordshire for 3 events on November 25, 2009: She visited St John's School in Kempston, a school for children with learning difficulties, then she has been to the MS Therapy Centre, a centre that offers therapy, information and support for people with Multiple Sclerosis. The last visit Sophie has made, was one to Happy Dogs in Clapham where dogs are trained to assist people with disabilities of all kinds.

Sophie officially opened the new day care centre at St Rocco’s Hospice, Bewsey and later that day also went to the charity "Brainwave" at Birchwood, a charity that helps children with brain injuries
and genetic conditions and of which she is the patron - Nov 18, 2009:
