I agree with what you are saying. Kate just being there waiting would pressure me. Have you ever had someone in the room with you while you were trying to work. They usually say, "Don't mind me. I'll just sit here quietly while you work." Them just being there is a distraction. I'm having trouble saying this. OK, hows this. It would be easier for me (if I was William) if Kate lived her life by adding value to it on her own. Having someone base their whole his whole life around my existance would be a burden to me. However, the fact that William being raised as a prince and future king could make it so this is what he expects. It makes sense if you think about it. I don't necessarily like it as far as his personal relationships go but I truly don't have a frame of reference for growing up in the lifestyle William has.

Merry, Exactly! That is what I meant. Kate will be sitting there waiting on William to come home on leave, to call when he can, to invite her down to the base, to answer her text messages, to call her back, to go to Mustique, to celebrate her birthday, to have a romantic dinner, to send roses on Valentines day...do you see where this is going.
Everytime PW is too busy or distracted with his duties to do one of the above, KM will probably dissolve into tears (silently/hidden of course). KM will feel personally ignored. Eventually all the missed calls etc. lead to distant feelings that can erode all the romance. No matter how much you hide the pain of feeling so alone cracks will appear in the relationship. Hanging on may become harder and harder, because it means "hiding" true feelings of resentment towards what --- the military? the queen?

Yes. Kate could resent William and he in turn could resent her.
If this is the way Kate thinks, then she may well have started resenting William the first time she was hoping for an engagement ring.

Merry, Seriously, in the 12/19/08 pictures the X-mas party ones, I saw something like the old grin and bear it type resentment towards William on her face that I didn't see before. Although, I think she will hide her resentment about not getting the rind yet, it will start to show in her eyes and on her face. NYX, Because we can't help ourselves! Don't all roads lead to Kate Middleton? LOL! I think we need to find Prince Harry and the hose, and the booze...we seriously need help! Thanks for calling me on my "issues."

^ Indeed they do. It seems that everything always constantly leads back to Kate in one form or another.

So now we know how William feels. No matter how hard we try, we keep coming back to her. Maybe we need shots

Kate will stick around until William dumps her... if ever.

IMO Kate is like a blood sucking leech who has to be physically removed. Nothing spectacular except their desire to hang-on & suck the life of anyone they come in contact.
