I swear this woman is rapidly aging before my eyes!  It's unbelievable that she's only 26 (almost 27).  By the time she's 40, she's going to appear 60!!!
I hope by that time we don't have to look at her anymore.

The low profile tactic was going well till someone told the press about this holiday. Once again someone is playing the engagement rumour card and why? It's been quiet till now. Is someone hoping it'll pressure William into proposing before he leaves for the airforce? Since this maybe one of the last chances he'll get before he leaves.

The Middletons haven't got much time left before William leaves for the RAF. They know that once William proposes to Kate he'll have to marry her so could this be one last ditch effort to pressure him into a proposal before he leaves? Once engaged he can't get out of it and the Middletons know it. If he leaves without proposing there is a chance the couple could drift apart and William could just dump Kate when he pleases. If engaged he can't.

Lets look at recent headlines:
1) These ones
2) Carol's worry Kate won't become a Royal
3) Kate will continue to wait

Clever, calculating, manipulative headlines. Designed to try and pressure and guilt trip William in to proposing. Last ditch effort before he leaves for the RAF. If he leaves without proposing it'll make it more difficult for the Middletons to bring him to heal. Someone is panicking because William is going away and they cannot control him while he is away with the armed forces. Royals aren't stupid they'll see right through this. Looking at the comments of newspaper articles people aren't buying this love story. Some are buying the engagement rumour to a certain extent as they're saying they'd rather he'd get married have this constant 'will they/won't they' so the tactic is working on the public however they still aren't keen on the idea of Kate. Kate will hang on for as long as it takes and at the same time the PR machine will continue to pressure William. It's been quiet recently with William and Kate, but once again someone has spoilt this new low profile bid that these two have by talking to the media. Why? They're worried. That's why. Worried that once William is in the RAF Kate will lose him but if they can pressure William into proposing before he goes she won't cos he'll have no choice but to marry her.
To be honest though. The whole reason William decided to go into the RAF in the first place was to avoid getting married next year. So I'm thinking the Middletons could be disappointed again?

I agree Lady In Waiting, I think someone is attention-seeking with this relationship, but the thing is it is doing them more harm than good. Something suggests to me is this relationship is one that is a troubled one, and they have had trouble recently in the relationship.

The thing is though I think he will marry when the Firm tells him to marry and he will marry someone the Firm wants and it will be spinned into this is what William wants sort of thing. A bit like the RAF thing he is about to enter, I think it was decided for him and he accepted it, and they spun it as being a surprised choice and William made it.

It could be seen as the press is doing the pushing, privately Kate and William could have an understanding that they aren't ready and are happy with the way things are, she is probably happy about the RAF time, it has been shown that when they are out of the public spotlight they are OK, Prince William gets antsy with the media spotlight and spending another year with seeing him on the weekends she can endure because when will Willliam have time to meet someone else? He won't and he doesn't like to be alone, him or Harry. That is why the always vacation with 10 people- Kate is probably excited because the more time they spend together, it will become inevitable for them to marry. William had a chance to break up with her and see what the world had to offer but he chose to go back to his safety net, William is lazy and is scared of being hurt with Kate he is safe and she is reliable and she will do what ever is needed to keep him happy - those are his issues. William is not getting married next year nor is he breaking up with Kate Middleton. console
