Beau Biden Not Getting the Prince Harry Treatment/eyesonobamaI think it’s incredible that Beau Biden, the Delaware Attorney General and son of the state’s senior US Senator, went overseas for a tour of duty in the Iraq with his Delaware National Guard Unit. It’s a selfless act of bravery and patriotism. And from a partisan standpoint, I think it’s fantastic because far too few Democrats have a personal understanding of what it means to serve in uniform. But stepping back and taking things as they are now, the son of the next Vice President of the United States is in a war zone. Flash back to last year when news broke that Prince Harry of Wales had been serving for 77 days on the front lines in Afghanistan. As soon as the media outlets got a hold of the information, Harry was whisked away back to merry old England, much to his irritation and disappointment. But, the reasons were good enough. There was a higher-than-usual security risk with a prince on the battlefield, both to him and the men in his platoon.

And, I really don't think Beau should get the PH treatment. No offense, but the only reason he is in this position now is out of pure dumb luck that his Dad actually managed to get elected in.

True and the Biden's are as "rich" as the royals which is why the royals are such great targets for kidnapping; capture.
They are all targets but unfortunately Harry makes them more of a target than normal. It was the right thing to do..bring him home.

I don't know maybe they should not have sent him in the first place since he was such a target. Could have been a PR stunt for Prince Harry.

I really don't think it was a PR stunt. As a matter of fact, I believe he would have made it through and come home quietly if it hadn't been leaked. No parent (even Charles) would put their kid in a war for PR (at least I hope).
It was fine till someone told.

I don't think it was a PR stunt for Harry either. He was to adamant about going and they were not so willing to let him go.

The fact that Harry is a royal and Beau is the son of US vice-president makes them a bigger target than others due to his family background, but that doesn't change the fact that as all men there they're serving their contry. Again press doesn't care for the young men that are defending their contries and seems that are splashing on the news their locations... War sells unfortunately Beau Biden must be careful and have a bit of luck there not to be injured and return safe to his family.

And I think it's great that he is serving, finally a (vice) presidents child who is not just out partying and drinking, but who is actually doing something to make a difference for his country. Plus he was in the military before his father became Vice-President elect (I think), so it cannot be a media ploy. Now if only the Press would not make this into such a big deal, than there would be no problem.
