Even though I don't excuse what he has done, PH is not the only person in the world who calls his friends names to joke. I respect people integrity and I'll hate if he made that kind of joy with me around, but I'm sure that nobody around told him it was wrong when he said it and it's really easy to judge him only while there was those around him to laugh at his jokes for sure. It start to become really boring all those blahblah.
It's not surprising that the Princes "hate" the press and are not so reachable they are always betrayed by someone from thje inside. But what worries me is the fact that they will have to deal with the Press all their life and if the relationship with the them is so bad, I don't think it will be good for the future. Media are one the 4 powers today and I really believe that they can condition people's minds with their "royal scandals and soap operas" so they just see Monarchy and royals as a waste of space.
I can't imagine how things will be when the Queen will not be there anymore.

I agree Pinky.
The Queen would be very missed. She is a stable influence.

Some time ago, on some thread or other I recalled a conversation some years before with a journalist and I said to him: "Oooh Murdoch won't like that!" (Referring to something to do with the royals) He replied: "Oh, Murdoch won't take the Queen on, but when this reign ends...........". It is not only Murdoch IMO

I never thought he was racist. But I do think sometimes he doesn't think before he does certain things.

That part is a given. Not thinking before he speaks is one of his downfalls.

I don't want him to change who he is either, but part of maturity is knowing that certain actions are not ok. Especially because of the fact that he is in the public eye and the press do look for any excuse to paint him in a certain light that is not always flattering or truthful.

Excellent artice! Bravo Mr. Alexander! I've held my tongue about this so-called "controversy" the past couple of days but I can't anymore. I think this whole situation was blown completely outta proportion. Maybe Harry shouldn't have used the term "Paki" but it's not like he meant it in a derogatory manner. And honestly, how is referring to a Pakistani as a Paki any different than calling a Briton a Brit? Maybe I don't think it's such a big deal b/c in the U.S. it's not considered a derogatory racist remark. And "raghead", so let me get this straight, he's allowed to kill them but he can't call them a name? And now "foreigner" is considered inappropriate? Give me a break.....these hyper-sensitive morons really need to get a life.
