If the man is not offended, then there is no offense. We are only assuming why they call him that. It could be for other unobvious reasons. There really is more important stuff going on than the army having to spend time dressing down one of their men when in fact many guys out in the field use nicknames like this.
Wow, if you don't want to be "offended" don't hang around a squadron of fighter pilots...esp. if you're female.
I think first, harry's stuff was 3 yrs. ago and it's time for the media to move on. If this man was offended by Charles, he would have said something to start with.

I reckon the PR spin is now in action with this story. I wonder if the engagement sparks at Birkhall was delibrate to give them time to come up with a plan to deal with this storm from the press.

Yeah what engagement sparks indeed Well from the press imagination yes. I agree the BP at the Midds may of been staged for the Wales family benefits. I reckon Charles's spin team are in overdrive for Harry atm.

I don't think they need to worry about Harry. Most people are supporting him. On AOL they did a poll and about 60%-70% said they still like Harry. 11% are neutral and the rest didn't like him (those are Republicans and don't like any royals anyway). Forget comments, those are moderated for the most part anyway. Also, people are annoyed because Harry's incident was three years ago and people are like, "... okay... and this is out now because... " I agree with bpwriter47.

Yes, it was 3 years ago so does that socially justify it ?
I' ve reviewed my position because I've remembered Harry and his father's says & events after a sketch about it into Les Guignols de l'info (similar to Headcases). Harry's marionette was holding his comments with his "ginger" hair and Charles' marionette has big ears.. It has made their "out of context" says totally ridiculous from them.
Harry has said with precaution that he is "auburn" and not "ginger". If I do remember correctly he was involved too into an action supporting young blissfully normal (not privileged... neither royal) children being bullied or receiving prejudices because of the color of their hair.
On the other hand, his father hadn't really well supported being "bullied" at school because of his ears, nor like people who say that CPB is ugly or whatever, or being compared to his former late wife.
So, I doubt that they do like that strangers or their friends (in general, not the close ones) do kid too much with them with their own physical traits.
As for the says of newspapers, I would take them much more into account the day they do denounce too their colleagues hold the same sort of says.
