It makes me really irrate that the press is even trying to connect Kate's lazy name to a high powered ,hardworking woman like Anna Wintour. I even read on one board how Anna really wants Kate for publicity, uh....please. The press is trying to compare Kate to the character Annie in the movie Devil Wears Prada, that girl had depth, was a hardworker and a writer, she was not some lazy wannabe, sitting around waiting. I hate that the press keeps trying to give Kate some importance in the business world that she does not have.

I agree Serene Grace.  Too many excuses have been given on Kate's behalf that it begs to question as to why?  The press has painted her as a pathetic looser but yet on the same token, they attempt to cover up her lazy-a$$-good-for-nothing-but-wait-for-a-proposal attitude.  Are the press hoping for reconciliation/that maybe there is a chance for Prince William to take her back "again" & that they don't want to rub the wrong elbows to the BRF?

IMO Kate has not earned the title of a career woman.  She hasn't done anything period & for her name to appear in the same sentence as Anna Wintour is beyond comprehension.  Maybe I'm reading the article incorrectly but plenty of ladies (especially Americans) would kill/die for a job like that & the thought that it is given to Kate on a silver platter is despicable.  If this article is true, then Kate will always be Kate.  The kind that will always have to be taken care of - otherwise she will never make it on her own.

Princess H:  I agree.  Perhaps I'm in an awful mood right now but why give Kate the dignity that she doesn't deserve.  She wasn't a child & knew what she was doing in all the 5 years.  Therefore, she should stay in England & bear the brunt of public/media ridicule.  Don't come to New York & take away a job that's supposed to be given to other well-deserving candidate.    I agree, Kate is a lost cause.  She's better off with a rich husband to cater to her needs just as long as that husband is not a member of the RF.

I agree with your post wholeheartedly Ceridwen. But the fact of the matter is simply by virtue of being PW's longterm gr or hopefully his longterm gf turned ex, lots of doors will be opened for Katie that are closed to the hardworking girls who seriously study fashion because they can not boast of an association with a future king.

    That one got me too.  A sabbatical from what? .... in order to get a job.


On a serious note, I think the article is an invention.    William will end up with Kate (and you all know how I feel about that).
