I don't think Kate will survive because she's lazy & appeared to have no desire nor the stamina to have a 9-5 job.

All too true. Kate can't fart around in NY like she can at home. She will be expected to actually WORK, and to show up every day and stay the entire time. Kate's never done that in her LIFE! NY is very competitive and if Kate doesn't measure up, she'll be out the door. I think she'd be in for a real eye-opener if she did move to NY. I'd be very surprised if she could hack it.

I'm still wondering how she plans to GET a job letalone keep it, seeing as how her resume is as empty as Paris Hilton's head. She has no credentials and no experience. Just how is she planning on waltzing in and securing a place on the ladder? I don't think flashing her knickers will work for this one.

If she becomes an intern, she will work many hours over a 40 hr week if she is treated as other interns.  Personally, I would like to see her go try...why...because as someone said here, she would be eaten up by the new york women and then spit out!!

I can't believe she'd get a job in fashion publishing with an art-history degree.  Fashion is a highly competitive field.  I think the press are mocking her for her work ethics and lack of accomplishment - a stint as a part-time assistant accessory buyer as her only job.

I actually really doubt she ever worked in that capacity.  The Jigsaw released a photo of her "on the job", but I think it had to have been a PR shot.  I really feel that she was with them to provide an advertisement for the company.  We just did not get photos of her around the Jigsaw office (was there one?).  The way I see it,  Belle expressed an interest in using Kate for Jigsaw promotion when they were negotiating the Mustique villa.  Kate figured out she could turn it into a permanent deal so she'd appear to be working while really being free for any vacation/party invite she got. 

I just wonder why it all came to an end.

NYC can be brutal, so many ambitious, talented, well connected young people are in the city for training, to enter new fields, gain work experience that there tends to be a great demand for everything from an internship to part-time jobs or even low paying jobs at the right institution. 

Who is Kate fooling? She does not have that kind of raw ambition. She does not strike me as the type who will fight her way up from the very bottom. I think the press is just having a good laugh about the whole NYC/Anna Wintour idea.

^ In addition NY is a very hectic city and I don't think a snugly, "fastidious" woman like Kate could handle this dynamic life so easily.

Kate should have been born 150 years ago because she is hopeless & useless in the 21st century.  She has now become the "butt" of every joke most especially from the press.  As soon as it's apparent that their breakup is public, the press will eat her & her family alive!!    They'll slaughter her which is why I think the BRF is helping her to transition to "normal real" life & that includes having a job. And I wouldn't be surprised if they'll also get her a husband, if not an aristo, then some wealthy clueless American.

Good point, because realistically if they don't....she's sunk in so many ways because is so incredibly helpless and clueless in regards to reality and how all of us "little people" actually live.

She's been high on the hog way to long and she's totally out of touch with everything.
